Why I Bought It
This one was one of those random grabs. I missed the solicitation, I could care less about the cover, but it was simply the words "Kid Flash" that caught my eye. Then i saw Fabian Nicieza and I was sold. The man wrote has written some excellent stuff and honestly deserves a shot at writing the new 52 Teen Titans.

What I Liked
This was just a fun story. We had some early breaking of the fourth wall, which i don't know if that is a one time thing or if it was just something that happens in each issue of DC Universe Presents. But it was a great way of catching the reader up to speed with what was going on before this story, and where to follow it from here.

In essence, the premise of the book is a task that someone with the powers of Kid Flash should get done in about 5 seconds. And it gets fleshed out to an entire book. That's where the characterization come into play and makes it entertaining.

When last I read Teen Titans, which I believe was right after The Culling, I saw that they were going with some weird extension of Bart coming from the future or running away from the cops or something weird like that. I am SO THANKFUL that story arc wasn't touched upon in this book.

What I Didn't Like
This book lacked significant substance to it. It should really have been a Teen Titans .5 issue or something like that, a subplot in the main book. But, going into this not expecting much and just to be entertained, it did OK. But as a serious story, nothing much matters here.

That cover also has such a different feel to it than what the interior art and story reflects. The outside is light in color and has the creatures chasing after Kid Flash. the inside has darker colors and Kid Flash chasing after the creatures.

Panel to Remember
The cheesy smile that Kid Flash has on the very last panel of the issue. The message that panel conveys, especially in context with the first panel, signals to the reader that the fun has been had and its time to go back to something more serious in the main Teen Titans book.

Quotable
"Flash Fact!" Anytime that is mentioned, you are guaranteed a great line to follow.

Buy Next Issue: Nah, not my type of book. At least, I don't know what the next story is a about so I will wait and see. Considering that this is the first one I've picked up, I see it being a while before I get another book.
