Here we sit six months into the huge DC Reboot. Let's see where we started and where it has come to.

Looking over the DC books, there have been some hits and misses, some surprises and some disappointments.
It seems that after six months of giving some titles a try, I have mostly reverted back to my original books with a few add ons. I am surprised how much I am enjoying an Animal Man book and a Swamp Thing book. Wonder Woman? Never touched that before. And don't look too closely at Flash and Detective Comics being on the list just for fun, those are pretty much there just to keep the collection going.
I did start out trying 3 of the 4 Superman books, and now they have all gone the way of the Dodo. Although I will pick up issue #7 of Action, just to see how the story is ending.
Out of the Bat-books, there really is a surprise for me that Batgirl didn't stick around. Simone's writing is just not for me. I didn't think I would stand longer than three issues of Batwing, but that turned out to surprise the shit out of me.
And so my adventures blogging the first six months of the New 52 has been enjoyable. i do feel the need for a slight refocus though. I have spent a lot of time on DC books, and in some regards I wasted a lot of time and money on the comics. So let's switch gears. I've reviewed some Turtles comics and the Spaceman series, but I want to try some more original/non Superhero stuff. I picked up Fatale and the Ralph Wiggum comic. I want to pick up and try some other Image stuff. So there will be some changes coming up. New style of books. And I'm sure there will be some troubled waters ahead, but I think that there will be some great comics too.
Time for some change.
