Comics! End of Month 2 for the DC Reboot

And so ends the second month of the DC reboot. We have had some ups and down. We've gotten respect from surprise titles, we've also dropped a couple of duds.

All in all, still looking solid for DC.

As I go through the third issues that I picked up this week, I have a certain criteria in mind for what I am looking for and goal that I have for some books that I am on the fence about.

In the third issue I am looking for a story that has me hooked. If you look at comics that are "made for the trade" or are trying to tell a long term story, you have to have a reader be able to identify who the major characters are for a book and what kind of villain/obstacle that the main character/s are up against. So if I am reading these issue 3s and am unsure of what the heck is going on, I don't need to continue reading it. If nothing has changed or a character is not developing in those three issues, why stick around?

I would like to try reading all three issues of a series after reviewing the third issue by itself. I think that this will help me determine if I should stick with the individual issues, try a wait for the trade approach, or just decide to let some titles go. Basically, it is shit or get off the pot time for some of these titles.

And if I end up dropping a bunch of titles, I will try to find others to fill that gap that grab my interest. But if I can't, its no worries to me. There are tons of other good reading materials out there for my viewing pleasure which I should happily indulge myself with.

Yummy.
